My Tattoos: My Koru Tattoo

Yesterday was my 32nd birthday. I plan to write more about the fantastic day I had yesterday later...but for now, I wanted to share my gift to myself: a new tattoo!

I find my tattoo designs in the weirdest places, and this one was no exception. About a year ago, I was going through the Pyramid Collection catalog (which I enjoy immensely) and came across a rug with a koru, the Maori symbol of renewal. I fell in love with it, and got it on my right wrist. It was tattooed by my new artist, the unbelievably cool Sean of Captain Jack's:
